The V79 features a V-shape body and tops it with a wonderful flame maple in Trans-Brazilia finish. It includes Dean’s classic V headstock alongside the winged logo to give you that distinct Dean look on stage, allowing you to join the legions of world-class players who choose the Dean family to deliver their music.
A mahogany body and neck gives the V 79 a warm and resonant base upon which its tone is built. The rosewood fingerboard adds low-end articulation to the overall tone, and when plugged in with its DMT design humbuckers, this guitar will provide a powerful and rocking sound with plenty of sustain, ideal for hard riffing and soloing all night long. It includes a 3-way selector to find your ideal sounds, from biting and powerful bridge pickup riffing through to warm and mellow neck tones for liquid smooth soloing lines. Volume and tone controls allow for the final on-stage tone sculpting setup before your signal hits the amp.
A guitar like the V 79 is crying out loud to be played hard on stage, and fortunately it features an effortlessly comfortable specification to let you do so all night long. Whether sat down or stood up, the V shape gives a surprisingly comfortable playing experience whilst providing absolutely no barriers to the top of the fingerboard, enabling easy high-octane soloing at the ‘dusty-end’ of the neck. The frets are jumbo and mounted with a 12’’ radius which gives great purchase on the strings and easier bending and vibrato. It is finished with a comfy profile and mounted to the body with a set-neck design, so you’ll find whizzing up and down the neck no problem at all.
A guitar is only as good as its weakest part, and fortunately the Dean V 79 includes solid Grover tuners with a reliable tune-o-matic bridge to give gig-worthy stability and sustain. The speed knobs not only look great, but provide easy adjustments to volume and tone when performing.
