Nordstrand Big Splits Hum-Cancelling Pickups

The B-100 Multi Scale Bass is powered by a pair of Nordstrand Big Split Pickups in the neck and bridge position. Big Split Pickups were designed as a hybrid of jazz and precision, for a wide array of tonal possibilities. The Big Splits layout is angled and the coil is split in half, producing a fat, balanced and exceptional bass sound.

Multi Scale Fret Design

The most impressive feature of the B-1005SE Bass is the unique fret design and multi scale fingerboard. The scale decreases from 37" to 34" which enhances string tension and means that the lower strings have a longer scale than the higher strings. This design feature ensures exceptional and consistent tone and performance. The fret arrangement is ergonomically designed to enable more natural and comfortable play with little learning and adjustment.

Swamp Ash Body With Rosewood Top

Swamp ash is a popular choice of tonewood for bright tones with good resonance. It offers a light and comfortable playing experience, and a sound that has plenty of twang. The tones delivered by the swamp ash are both crisp and articulate, with firm lows, snappy highs and a sweet sustain. The swamp ash is topped with a visually beautiful rosewood top, which provides a fuller and warmer tone to add overall depth. The body is finished in natural satin, which allows the grain to be visible for a textured appearance.

5-Piece Wenge & Bubinga Neck & Rosewood Fingerboard

The 5-piece neck is incredibly sturdy and is more resistant to warping than a classic 1-piece neck; making it durable and long lasting. Bubinga as a neck tonewood offers a bright midrange and a thick bottom. Wenge is ideal as a bass neck with its warm lows, good clarity and overall unique sound. Wenge is a porous wood with open grain, which means you can feel the texture underneath your hands whilst navigating the rosewood fingerboard. The rosewood fingerboard offers rich tones with warmth and a soft high end.

The B-100 Multi Scale Bass features premium hardware for a smooth and outstanding bass performance. The Gotoh Tuners transit string movement effectively and offer reliable and retained tuning all night. The Hipshot Solo Bridge is incredibly versatile which alongside the volume and balance controls, and ABQ-3MS 3-Band EQ, all accommodate for a flexible playing experience.
