Alder Body

The American Elite HSS Stratocaster is based on the classic Strat design, with an alder body and bolt-on maple neck to give you a bright and nuanced tonality with great sustain and resonance. The traditional aesthetics hide a thoroughly modern instrument, both in its tonal versatility and enhanced playability. This guitar is designed to offer the ultimate modern Stratocaster experience for players who require every tonal option available at the push of a button.

Compound Radius Fingerboard and Compound Radius Neck

The Elite Stratocaster's maple neck is mounted to the body with a new heel joint for effortless access to the top frets. The ebony fingerboard gives a smooth playing feel and is crafted with a compound radius (9.5'' - 14''). The neck itself has also has a compound profile, changing shape from a modern "C" to a "D" as you climb the fingerboard. This combination of compound dimensions ensures that, as you reach the higher frets, the neck becomes thinner and flatter which gives a wonderfully smooth playing-feel with the ideal balance between low-range chordal comfort and high-range soloing capability.

Shawbucker and 4th Generation Noiseless Single Coils

The bridge-position Shawbucker is a raunchy-sounding humbucker that is perfect for hot-rodded Stratocaster tones. It is paired with two single-coils that feature Fender's 4th generation noiseless technology to provide all the sparkle and nuance of a true single coil with greatly-reduced noise interference. This is the ideal setup for modern players in noise-sensitive environments. The combination of a humbucker and two single coils is arguably the most versatile setup and gives you access to a huge range of sound via the 5-way pickup selector.

S1 and Passing Lane Switches

The Elite Strat is loaded with an S1 switch which alters the functionality of the 5-way pickup selector to give you even more tonal options to utilise. The additional Passing Lane switch is a further function which routes the guitar's output directly to the bridge humbucker, bypassing all the other internal electronics to give you a pure signal from the Shawbucker. The Passing Lane Switch is discretely mounted between the tone controls for an instant tonal change while remaining clear of the playing hand, so you won't accidentally activate it.

Elite Hardware

The Elite Stratocaster is loaded with locking tuners for guaranteed tuning stability. The tuners have short posts which provide increased string-breaking angle along with better tuning. Fender's 2-point Deluxe Synchronized Bridge provides access to smooth pitch-shifting effects, while the double action truss rod with easy-access adjustment wheel helps your set up the neck relief without any special tools. The guitar is packed with an Elite hardshell case, so you'll be ready to get gigging right out of the box.
