The Ibanez Iron Label Series are a meticulously designed and professional quality series of 6, 7 and 8 string electric guitars purposely built for modern metal guitar players that feature only the highest quality parts such as active EMG or DiMarzio pickups, Ibanez’s own nitro wizard neck, heavy duty hardware and even killswitches. By stripping back the designs to the basics and working from the ground up Ibanez have built an adept line of heavy metal guitars that cater to your every need and prove to be an outstanding choice for all styles of metal players.
The use of Ibanez's own Nitro Wizard neck allows for the RGDIX6PB Electric Guitar to be extremely playable, perfect for lead guitarists, as the thin nature of the neck helps to perform swift and nimble guitar runs seamlessly whilst retaining enough substance to ensure a thick and full resonance when playing rhythm patterns and chords.
The Ibanez Iron Label RGDIX6PB features an ebony fingerboard that provides a smooth natural finish, along with a very responsive bright, snappy attack with a smooth sustain. Its bound edges allow for smoother movement and fluid hand flexibility across the whole neck.
Players can achieve that classic metal tone with the duo of DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups which were designed in a collaboration between Ibanez and DiMarzio. Located on the neck and bridge positions, these pickups produce a variety of overdriven textures and a progressive metal sound with clarity, power and velocity, perfect for all metal styles.
The RGDIX6PB Iron Label also features a Gibraltar Standard II bridge, designed to join with the guitar's body and provide optimal transfer of each string's vibration, for enhanced resonance and sustain. Its smooth surface is also designed to maximize playing comfort and be unobtrusive.
Over the past 30 years, Ibanez Guitars have always been at the forefront of developing the right tools for Electric Guitar players pushing the boundaries of music. For decades, Ibanez designers and luthiers have been the embodiment of this ideology, pushing their skills to the edge of imagination, consistently creating some of the most versatile and unique instruments ever. Although Ibanez guitars have been made since 1908, it wasn't until the late 1980’s that they began to form an identity for themselves when artists such as Steve Vai and Frank Zappa began using their instruments. Now with a huge artist clientele across the globe Ibanez are a leading manufacturer of electric guitars and basses and a first choice for many dedicated musicians.
