Basswood Body With Spalted Maple Top

The Jackson X Series Soloist guitar features a basswood body, which is lightweight and eliminates the heavy strain on the player's shoulder, for a longer, comfortable performance. Topped with a spalted maple veneer, the Soloist offers a top end appearance at an affordable price.

Compound Radius Fingerboard

The 2018 Soloist SLX features Jackson's unique and innovative compound-radius fingerboard design, in which the fingerboard gradually flattens toward the heel from its more rounded profile at the nut. This design provides a smooth playability for both chords and riffs whilst the flattened heel allows sensational accessibility and speedy at the high register, perfect for both lead and rhythm players.

Duncan Designed HB-103 Humbucking Pickups

The Jackson SLX Soloist is equipped with a pair of Duncan Designed HB-103 Humbucking pickups that are both very tight, and deliver superb definition. These pickups are especially designed for metal music, and even accommodate low tunings if required. Players can achieve excellent articulation, and easily find their preferred tone using the simple controls and 3-way blade.
