The S Series batons are designed to be elegant and precise, while giving ultimate control to the conductor. This is through the pear shaped handle that fits nicely in to the groove of the hand, giving an agile but responsive touch. The shaft, available in 12'', 14'' and 16'', is versatile and available to be used for every conducting scenario. As well as wooden shafts, the S Series Baton is available in carbon fibre, which makes it harder wearing and extremely strong.
Hardwood Handles on S Series Batons
On the S Series of batons, there are two variants on handles to choose from. Purpleheart, while having a beautiful rose colour is also one of the hardest and most moisture resistant woods available. Pau Ferro is a very popular brown wood used in manufacturing many musical instruments and walnut is used in furniture for its pleasant finish and hard wearing properties.
