A special effect shaker with variable pitch. The Meinl Percussion FX modulation shaker is constructed from birch wood, with a plastic top. A gap between the two surfaces allows players to modulate the sound of the shaker by adding pressure to the plastic top. This, in effect, changes the pitch and adds a special effect to your sound.
