Duesenberg Caribou 12 String Electric Guitar, Black Overview

The Duesenberg Caribou 12 String has a chambered, solid American Alder body with a flat top. The Caribou model is a step away from Duesenberg's flagship model, the Starplayer TV, it has a sharkfin style slash in the flat black top in place of the standard f hole found on the Starplayer. The Caribou 12 string has two domino P90 pickups, one in the neck and one in the bridge, this is in contrast to the standard Caribou's which have a grand vintage humbucker in the bridge. The dual P90 configuration provides more of a classic jangle often associated with 12 string guitars, a humbucker in the bridge could make the tone of a 12 string sound slightly overcooked and unruly, Duesenberg has made note of this and used a domino P90 instead which packs a punch with a more clear and refined sound. All hardware featured on Duesenberg guitars is made by Duesenberg so there are no out sourced pickups or tuners making this guitar truly unique.
