The Jackson SLATTXMG3-7 wields a dual set of EMG 707 active pickups which utilize alnico V loaded wide aperture coils to deliver a truly dynamic 7-string tonality. Eliminating the muddy and muffled low B sound of prior 7 string guitar pickups the 707's produce a deep and defined low B response whilst also providing tight, crisp and detailed overall response allowing them to be versatile enough for a huge range of playing styles.

The Jackson SLATTXMG3-7 features Jackson's unique and innovative compound-radius fretboard design, in which the fretboard gradually flattens toward the heel from its more rounded profile at the nut providing a smooth playability for both chords and riffs whilst the flattened heel allows sensational accessibility and speedy at the high register perfect for both lead and rhythm players.

The incorporation of a four top, three bottom machine head pattern helps to reduce sympathetic vibrations by allowing less room between the nut and machine heads to deliver a pure and charismatic tone.

The Jackson SLATTXMG3-7 incorporates a string-thru body to provide improved tonality and sustain by transferring vibrations and resonance from the string to the body as it goes over the tailpiece and passes through the body.
