The Das Audio Action 508A is an 8" active speaker system designed for versatile use - from fixed installations to portable applications. Plus, its rotatable horn with a 90- by 60-degree dispersion means it can be used in both vertical and horizontal configurations - as a stage monitor or front fill.
It is driven by the 720 Wpeak Class D amplifier, combined with an 8" transducer and MI-34 compression driver. This delivers efficient performance, in terms of both the power consumption and audio power - 122dB SPL. As well as this, the DAScontrol interface utilises 24-bit DSP and a LCD screen, allowing you to choose between a range of presets, EQ modes, delay, gain control and signal source mix.
As with all Das Audio speakers, the Action 508A uses both the highest quality materials for construction and the highest quality system design. It uses birch plywood, enabling tight, warm and natural sound reproduction in any environment. There are also two balanced XLR inputs for mic and line, as well as a 3.5mm mini jack input and a secure powerCON connection.
