Key Features
The AJH Minimod Dual Contour, Black is a eurorack module that features 2 independent contour envelope generators. The Minimod Dual Contour features a unique retrigger response. Progressively retriggering the module causes the volume level to increase incrementally, or filter to open incrementally when continuously pressing a key. The Dual Contour module features 2 switches for each envelope that change the response of the contour generators from AD to ADSD. The response curves of the Minimod Dual Contour are cloned to the response on the Model D envelope generators. The response curve is what gave the Model D synthesizer its signature punchy, bass line sounds. Additionally, the module features 2 trigger buttons for manually triggering, which are ideal for auditioning sounds.

The AJH Minimod Dual Contour has a unique retrigger behaviour. If a key is pressed before the A/D cycle has finished, then the decay does not fully reset. This causes the following attack peak to be higher than the previous one. When applied to a VCA then each retrigger will gradually increase the volume level if the A/D cycle has not reset. If using a filter, then the filter will open up gradually. You can change the attack and decay settings to get varied times.
Each envelope has an independent decay switch that changes the response of the contour generator. Turning the switch on changes the mode from AD (attack, decay) to ADSD (attack, decay, sustain, decay). When in AD mode, there is no sustain control so holding the gate high, or a note down, results in no effect after the initial trigger. The decay curve acts normally and starts once the attack curve is completed. However, when in ADSD mode the sustain control sets the level of the output until the key is released. The decay curve then starts after the sustain.
