Multi-Purpose Dynamic Processor Module

The Cwejman DP-2 Dynamic Processor is a multi-faceted processor module in the Eurorack format, featuring comprehensive modulation control. The DP-2 is ideal for a range of applications from processing and compressing input signals to side-chaining, muting and more. It boasts a wide range of versatile connectivity including both audio and CV connections. Thee DP-2 Dynamic Processor is entirely voltage controllable and comprised of a Compression and Mute sections, with both circuits connected in series. Its retro-style faceplate provides you with 13 precision attenuators in total, giving you full rein over your settings.

Compression Section

The most prominent section on the DP-2 is the compression circuit. The compressor boasts a ratio ranging from 1:1 over the limiter, ranging all the way up to infinite. When you dial in higher levels of compression, the processor pushes up the internal makeup gain to compensate for the gain loss when processing the signal. It boasts a range of settings including soft-knee compression for maximum versatility. The Attack and Release controls act as an advanced envelope follow, providing dual independent stages, controlling the compression. You can also achieve side-chain compression with the built-in 2-pole low pass and high pass filter, which comes in the form of a 3-position switch. The frequency cutoff then dictates the signal controlling the envelope follow, providing classic-style side-chaining.

Mute Section

The Mute section of the Cwejman DP-2 features 6 precision attenuators comprised of: Attack, Release, Threshold, Cutoff, Depth and Cutoff Level. The Mute section is controlled by an input signal, controlling the attenuation for the compressed/uncompressed signal by Attack-Release/Attack-Decay transient generator. This high-quality transient generator can be set by using the Threshold control, with the Depth attenuator controlling how deep the mute signal is. The Gate switch allows you to choose the length of the gate signal, highly useful for varying audio material. The gate switch allows you to choose between short, medium and long settings. Both the Mute and Compression section is achieved by a single high-end VCA, ensuring optimal audio fidelity and performance.

Analog Audio & CV Connectivity

The DP-2 boasts a wide variety of input/output connections in the form of analog CV & audio patch points. The compression section features a single Audio Input accompanied by Compressor, Attack, Release, Output and Cutoff, return & Ext Gate connections. There is also dedicated side-chain connections comprised of: Comp, Env F, LPF and HPF. This allows the module to process and communicate with other external modules, ideal for compressing synth and drum signals as well as sound experimentation. The Mute section also features 10 patch points comprised of dedicated connection for the Mute Side-Chain, as well as individual connections for Threshold, Attack, Release, Depth and Cutoff. This wide range of connectivity, makes the DP-2 ideal as the centrepiece for any modular setup. It also features a range of integrated LEDs, providing information on the compression DB as well as when certain connections are active.
