String Machine

The EastWest StringMachine is a virtual vintage string synthesizer with a modern twist. Designed with inspiration from classic string machines of the past, StringMachine features Solina, OBX, RS-505, and Jupiter 6-style samples. Combined with modern strings, brass, woodwind, and vocal instruments, the EastWest StringMachine is a powerful and flexible synthesizer suitable for a wide variety of applications.

In total, StringMachine features 18 instruments that can be blended together and transformed between each other via the included mod wheel. Sounds can also be edited through a standard 4-stage envelope per instrument section. Furthermore, StringMachine features four reverb presets, as well as chorus and ensemble chorus effects.

Owing to a hybrid design of electronic and acoustic instruments, StringMachine is perfect for various genres, electronic or otherwise, but especially for genres banking on retro nostalgia such as chillwave or pop. More broadly, StringMachine works in any mix that requires a large ensemble string pad.
