Meanwhile, the exclusive SONIClear bearing edge design boosts the volume of the drum's fundamental pitch, combining to form a full-bodied, yet present overall timbre.
Adding the tom to your existing hardware set-up is a breeze, thanks to the included TH800 tom mount. Its spring-hinged adjustable clamp will fit any cymbal, hi-hat or tom stand between 5/8'' to 1.25'' in diameter. The omni-ball arm adjustment allows toms to be positioned anywhere you want at any angle, or inverted for tuning the resonant head. Resonance and punch. The SONIClear Bearing Edge is standard on all Mars shells and allows the drumhead to sit flatter and make better contact with the shell. The result is a stronger and deeper fundamental pitch, effortless and consistent tuning and a significantly expanded tuning range.
On rack toms, the SONIClear's design increases overall resonance by preserving vibration in the drumheads and shell whilst preventing energy transferring to the hardware. The TH800 tom holder enhances the resonance and tonal clarity still further, by using a low-mass bridge that keeps the vibrations in the head and shell. A perfect match for crystal-clear rack tom tone.
