Key Features
Own a piece of history. The BLACK CORPORATION Kijimi is a faithful remake of the revered RSF Polykobol. Originally released in 1979, the synth is extremely rare, being restricted to only 30 units worldwide. Due to the innovative features and detailed sound, the RSF Polykobol is considered to be one of the most significant synths developed in the era.
Kijimi is an 8-voice polyphonic synthesizer with two continuously variable oscillators per voice, an incredible modulation section, MPE compatibility, preset storage and recall and build quality that is enviable to say the very least.
Staying true to the Polykobol, the synth features continuously variable wave shaping, an open and easily assignable modulation section with five sources and multiple destinations and a rich, interesting filter tone. With the Kijimi, Black Corporation have brought a much sought after synth to the masses.

The Kijimi features two oscillators, a low pass filter, VCA, two envelopes and two LFOs. The interaction between these features provides a huge range of modulation potential. The influence of the Polykobol is evident immediately, with discrete wave shapers in the oscillators that allow infinitely variable wave shapes. At the very end of the controller, the oscillator then jumps to pulse wave with PWM.
The Kijimi features two LFOs, both of which are switchable between wave form shapes including sine, pulse wave and random. The LFOs can also be combined with an attack/release envelope that affects the volume and intensity. This helps to achieve fade ins and outs using the LFOs. These can then be further modulated in the waveshape, filter cutoff/resonance and subosc level sections.
Once again inspired by the Polykobol, the modulation section has independent controls for LFO1, LFO2 and ADSR2. Sliders are provided to adjust the modulation depth and a row of switches make it easy to route the signal throughout the Kijimi.
