Automatically detect and attenuate reverb
By utilising its model of the human auditory system Unveil discerns specific frequencies from within your mix. Unveil can automatically detect which parts of your mix are reverb, and will highlight this reverb for signal processing using Mixed-signal Audio Processing technology. At this stage reducing the amount of reverb is as easy as adjusting the value of one of a selection of sliders.
Unveil does not operate under the same restrictions as expanders, envelope shapers, or spectral thresholding processors and does not use phase cancellation techniques or inter-channel correlation analysis. Therefore, Unveil works with any channel count from mono to whatever surround formats your DAW supports, without changing signal dynamics.
Reverb boosts and character manipulation
Unveil is also capable of utilising its artificial intelligence and mixed-signal audio processing technology to increase the amount of reverb in a recording. Unveil's reverb attenuation ultimately allows for a very broad range of audio effects. Unveil can turn a close-miked drum kit into a full-room-heavy kit, move a sound back in the sonic field, or adapt the amount of reverb on different location recordings to match each other better.
Moreover, Unveil offers several parameters that allow for the manipulation of reverb characteristics within a mixed signal, in real-time and even using a mono source signal.
Processing flexibility
Unveil isn't just limited to processing reverb, but is capable of processing any signal components that the artificial intelligence considers as being of little significance; this could be a mix of overlapping signals with a 'muddy' quality. Unveil allows you to reduce the level of any signals that cloud and mask the nuances and detail of the captured audio, and brings previously hidden but inherent detail into focus.
On the other hand, Zynaptiq has featured the inverse function which can push grit into your mix and present a less more reserved character in your recording.
Simplicity and intuitive user interface
Despite the complex mathematics occurring behind the scenes of Unveil, everything about this unique plugin is simple and easy. Zynaptiq offers comprehensive control parameters for in-depth sonic sculpting and tweaking, but the featured components of Unveil are all presented simplistically and stylistically in the form of track-ball sliders. This means that almost anyone can make use of Unveil's powerful audio editing abilities without resorting to dumbing down.
Reviews
"UNVEIL is the most transparent plugin I have ever used for removing reverb. It allows me to maintain the integrity of the original performances. I'm not sure how you are doing it but I'm glad you are.
UNVEIL is an essential part of my everyday workflow." - Frank Marone (Re-Recording Mixer)
"UNVEIL is an amazing tool. I keep discovering uses for it. But, so far, I've been using it to clean up percussion/drum samples, to tighten overly ambient vocal and instrument tracks. I've even used it to tighten up some live concert recordings.
UNVEIL is an indispensable part of my general recording and mixing toolkit." - Bryan Loren (Songwriter, Music Producer and Recording Artist)
"I've spent countless hours overdubbing parts solely on the basis that they were recorded with reverb. I was looking for a solution and then I heard about UNVEIL. All I need to say is I'll never be concerned with reverb on a track again. These guys make software that's already functioning in tomorrow's world. It's amazing!" - Morris "Kode" Mingo (Music Producer, Composer, Multi-Instrumentalist)
