The Pace Contra also comes with a lightweight case for even easier portability. The Upright Contra Pace Bass is finished in a classic black with equally dark, black hardware for the ultimate rock look.

Piezo Bridge Pickup

The Dean Pace Contra Bass is loaded with a piezo transducer pickup to offer an electric double bass sound with great amplification and opportunity for a wide array of tones. Whilst still preserving the raw sound of the instrument, with high output to provide more volume control. The Pace Contra's pickup is assisted by a versatile DMT Active 'Contra' pre-amp system for even more sonic opportunities.

Maple Construction

The Dean Pace Bass has a maple construction, with its body and neck crafted from the tonewood it produces a bright, clear and defined sound. The Maples brightness is accompanied by the curved, ebonized fingerboard to produce sparkling tones and create a beautiful double bass performance.

Portable and Lightweight Instrument

The Dean Pace Bass Guitar features a thin body and a small design, which makes the bass easy to handle and to transport to and from studio sessions and gig nights. With the included lightweight case, this Pace Bass makes it incredibly easy to have a portable electric double bass, always at your fingertips.
